Memorial Book

Suddenly on 13th February 2025, Warren aged 54 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The much loved and doting dad of Joel, loved father figure of Jamie, Elliot and Josh, partner of Sam and ex-partner and good friend of Tania, son of Malcolm and the adored son of the late Kath and Keith Monk, brother of the late Dave, Andy and Christopher and also a loved nephew relative and good friend to many. A well known and much loved local legend, Woz was the definition of loyalty and trust, a true gentleman in every sense. A passionate sportsman and former Enfield Cricket Club player, he was a lifelong Burnley FC supporter, a proud season ticket holder who never missed a match, often accompanied by his beloved son Joel at Turf Moor. His love for crown green bowling was inherited from his dear grandma, and in later years, he enjoyed playing alongside his mum, Kath, at Mercer Park Bowling Club. A familiar and friendly face at The Albion Pub, Warren could often be found enjoying a pint or two, playing pool, and chatting away with his countless mates. In his younger years, he made priceless memories on wonderful holidays with his son Joel—his pride and joy. Their bond was unbreakable, and they spoke every single day. Woz will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his name and his legacy will live on forever. Donations in lieu of flowers are being gratefully received on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice. To make a donation, please click the blue donate button at the bottom of this page. A donation box will also be available at the service. Please feel free to leave a message for Warren’s online memorial book by completing the form below.
