Memorial Book
Peacefully at East Lancashire Hospice on 15th May 2025, Susan aged 74 years of Accrington. The devoted wife of the late Larry and partner of the late Harry, loving and loved sister of Leslie and Mavis and an adored auntie, relative and good friend to many.
Former shopkeeper Susan, together with her beloved husband Larry, ran a successful business on Knowlmere Street in Accrington. They formed the perfect working partnership, selling mountain bikes and hiring out sunbeds and fitness machines and they also ran a sub bed shop in Oswaldtwistle. After sadly losing Larry, Susan found happiness again and true companionship in her partner Harry, who brought comfort and joy into her later years.A keen traveller, Susan spent many years exploring the world, but she also cherished time spent closer to home at her much-loved caravan in Cartmel, she also enjoyed many wonderful local holidays and lunches out with her brother Les and her sister-in-law Linda. Passionate about the outdoors, she enjoyed brisk walks in the fresh air and had recently joined a local walking group. Susan was also an active member of a line dancing club and regularly met friends at The Poplar Social Club. She loved to socialise and always looked forward to enjoying a nice meal out with good company.
Family flowers only please, donations can be made in her memory on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support or The Stroke Association.
