Memorial Book
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home on 23rd April 2025, Pauline, aged 81 years, of Clitheroe. The devoted and much-loved wife of Danny, cherished mum of Andrew and his partner Bridget, and Stuart and his wife Ann. A proud and loving grandma to Daniel and James, dear sister to Sheila, and a respected relative and friend to many.
Born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, Pauline later made Lancashire her home after marrying the love of her life, Danny, following his work commitments. They settled in Clitheroe, where Pauline became a well-known and much-loved member of the community. Her working life was spent as a dedicated dental nurse within the NHS across East Lancashire. Pauline built lasting friendships throughout her career, many of which continued long into her retirement. Pauline had a love for travel, always looking forward to holidays, whether exploring the UK, touring Europe in the caravan, or taking memorable road trip adventures through Canada and the USA in a motorhome. She especially treasured her time in Greece, enjoying the warm climate and well-earned relaxation. A devoted family woman, Pauline adored her grandsons and took every opportunity to spoil them—sleepovers, treats, and adventures were a regular joy. She was also a talented baker, known for her delicious sweet treats, with her shortbread famously deserving of a royal seal of approval.
Family flowers only please, donations are being gratefully received in Pauline’s memory on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice.
What a shining example she was to all of us who worked with her in Community Dental. Professional and caring, you knew if Pauline was working in clinic that you would have someone who could deal with any situation.
Later on I was lucky enough to join the retired Dental Ladies who lunch, and Pauline was always great company. God Bless. You will be missed.
