On 26th April suddenly at his home, Noel aged 73 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted husband of Maureen, loving dad of Colin and Paul, dear father-in-law of Claire, cherished grandad of Richard, Ellie and Kingsley, beloved brother of Ellen and a respected relative and good friend to many.

Born in Gilford, Ireland, Noel made the move to England in 1975, eventually settling in Clayton-le-Moors, a place that became his home. Over the years, he enjoyed many visits back to Ireland to see his much-loved family. Noel spent his working life at Metflex as a moulder, where he was a well respected member of the team. He built many lifelong friendships there and was known for his dedication and reliability. A kind-hearted and generous man, Noel would help anyone in need and always treated others with great respect. A familiar face at the Clayton Conservative Club, he was a proud member for over 40 years. He always looked forward to a pint of his favourite John Smith’s while catching up with friends, enjoying a game of snooker, or joining in the Sunday card games. At home, Noel loved nothing more than settling into his favourite chair to watch a classic Western or an episode of Star Trek, both of which he had seen many times and still enjoyed immensely. At the heart of Noel’s world was his family. He was a proud and devoted grandad who cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, always supporting them in their adventures and celebrating their achievements.

Noel was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but always fondly remembered.

Flowers are welcome, or if you prefer, donations in Noel’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
