Memorial Book

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 13th May 2025, Marian aged 80 years of Church, Accrington. The devoted and much loved wife of Frederick, loving and loved mum of John and Gina, dear mother-in-law of Caroline and Kevin, dear sister of Keith, a respected auntie, relative and friend.

Marian spent her working life in various administrative roles, with many years dedicated to Greyhound Ford, where she was known for her exceptional organisation and efficiency. She kept the office running like clockwork, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. In later years, Marian generously gave her time as a volunteer at the British Heart Foundation’s Accrington store, where she became a familiar and much-loved face in the community, forming many close and loyal friendships.

A devoted tennis fan, Marian always looked forward to watching the matches, especially enjoying trips with her daughter, Gina, to Kensington to see the Queen’s Club Championships in person. Holidays were another of her great joys, whether exploring the UK or venturing abroad, she embraced each trip as a chance to relax, recharge, and spend time with loved ones. Visits down south to see her children were always a highlight. Marian also found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, gardening, cooking, and spending time in her kitchen creating delicious meals and mouth, watering sweet treats for family and friends to enjoy.

She was a kind, caring, and thoughtful woman who touched the lives of many. Marian will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
