Margaret Byrne

Peacefully on 6th June 2025, Margaret aged 83 years of Rishton. The devoted wife of the late Andrew, loving sister of Joyce and the late Joan, a much loved aunt, relative and friend to many.

Margaret spent her career working as an accountant at Broad Loom Carpets, which later became Gaskell Carpets. Exceptionally skilled and precise, she was a whizz in the office, never happier than when working on a well-organised spreadsheet. With a sharp eye for detail and a gift for planning, she became a valued colleague and formed many lasting friendships that she treasured throughout her life. At home, Margaret was always on the move. Immaculately house-proud, her home and garden were kept to the highest standard, a reflection of the care and pride she took in everything she did. She also took great pride in her appearance. Whatever the occasion, Margaret was always beautifully dressed, with her hair and makeup perfectly done. A devoted dog lover, Margaret’s four-legged companions, Lassie, Tammy, Katie, and Denzel, were truly pampered. She loved walking them in the countryside, often spotted enjoying the fresh air with her beloved dogs by her side. Margaret shared a very special bond with her two sisters and was the most loving and doting aunt. Her warmth, kindness, and presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Margaret was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind cherished memories and will be remembered always with great affection.
