On 25th July 2026, Malcolm, aged 71, passed away peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Barbara, much loved-dad to Melanie, Daniel, Nikki and Joshua, treasured grandad to Lewis, Ralf, Charlie and Oscar, and proud great-grandad to Rudy.
Born in Preston to the late Lily and Bert, Malcolm began his working life at Star Paper Mill before trying several different trades. He eventually found his calling as a self-employed taxi driver, a role he enjoyed for many years.
In his spare time, Malcolm loved nothing more than spending his evenings with Barbara, watching their favourite show, House of the Dragon. He was passionate about sport and enjoyed watching all kinds, but his greatest sporting love was Blackburn Rovers, whom he supported faithfully throughout his life.
Malcolm will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his family, and the many happy memories he created with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
Donations in lieu of flowers are being gratefully received in memory of Malcolm on behalf of Derian House Children’s Hospice.
