on Saturday 29th August 2026, Ken passed away peacefully, at The Woodlands Care, aged 101 years. Ken was the loving husband of the late Ethel, a dearly loved father to Aileen and Karen and father-in-Law to Kev. he was a much loved grandad to Liane, Gail, Katie, Adam, Tom and the Late Mark and a loving great grandad to Olivia, Brooke, Cody, Marcus and Freddie.
Ken proudly served in the Royal Navy before beginning his lifelong career as a civil engineer with British Rail. He lived his life to the fullest, always striving to fulfil his dreams. Ken designed and built his own dream bungalow in Wilpshire where he lived until the age of 98 years. Together with his wife, ethel he enjoyed many wonderful experiences including flying on Concorde and sailing on the QE2.
Ken also had a great love of Ballroom dancing, a passion which saw him take part in many competitions and proudly celebrate his achievements with numerous trophies
Ken will be remembered for his kindness, his love and devotion to his family and for the many happy memories he created with all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone at Woodlands Care Home for the loving care, kindness and support shown to Ken over the past few years.
