Memorial Book

Peacefully, with her loving family by her side, Kathleen passed away in hospital on 16th April 2025, aged 83 years. A beloved and lifelong resident of Padiham, she was the devoted wife of the late Keith, cherished mum to Jane and Julie, and dear mother-in-law to Barry. She was a much-loved grandma to Georgia and her partner Steven, Carlton and his partner Molly, and a treasured gran gran to Ryder and Lula. Kathleen was also a loving sister to the late Margaret, and to Eileen and Edward.

Kathleen’s life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and devotion. She grew up in Padiham and it was there, at the tender age of sixteen, that she met her childhood sweetheart, Keith. Their bond was immediate and enduring, with an engagement before Keith left for university and a long, happy marriage that followed—rooted in true companionship and shared joy.

A devoted homemaker, Kathleen dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her family. Her home was always a place of warmth and care, where every detail was lovingly attended to. Family was the centre of Kathleen’s world, and she took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Kathleen also had a deep love of travel and nature. She fondly recalled family holidays to places like Robin Hood’s Bay and Silverdale in the Lake District, and in later years, she fulfilled her passion for travel with adventures across the globe—from road trips in America to sun-drenched escapes in Singapore and the Greek Islands.

An avid gardener, Kathleen found peace and joy in her garden, where she spent many happy hours. But above all, her heart remained at home, especially when shared with Keith. Her legacy is one of unwavering love, dedication to family, and a life well-lived.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
