Obituary Notice

At her home on 18th April 2026, Hazel, aged 79 years, of Accrington. The much-loved daughter of the late Benny and Nora, a loved cousin of Judith, Linda, John and the late John, and also a dear relative and friend to many.

Hazel began her working life as an office junior and, through dedication and hard work, progressed through the ranks to become an accountant. Extremely organised and devoted to her career, she was a natural in the office and always ensured everything ran like clockwork. She later retired from her role as Payroll Manager. At home, Hazel loved to read and owned more books than the local library, most of them non-fiction. She had a great thirst for knowledge and was always eager to learn, absorbing information with remarkable ease. Hazel also enjoyed craftwork and was highly skilled in embroidery and lacework. A keen animal lover throughout her life, Hazel gave many rescue dogs a loving and caring home, ensuring they lived out their days in comfort, warmth and happiness.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family flowers only please, donations can be made to the British Heart Foundation.

Hazel was a very special person — a dear second cousin whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Whether through quiet support, she gave me, along with thoughtful words, or moments filled with true kindness, Hazel left an imprint on the hearts of many. But most of all our Family.
May you rest in peace, Hazel, you will forever be remembered with love, gratitude, and affection.

A genuinely kind lady with a heart of gold, who would do anything for anyone. Even after she retired she would look in on us weekly with treats and a story or two. Our thoughts are with her family and friends x
