Gillian Geldard ‘Gill’

On 11 May 2025, Gill,  63, of Great Harwood passed away peacefully in her sleep. Gill was the devoted and much-loved wife of Paul, treasured mum to Tessa and Lara, wonderful mother-in- law to Dave and Simon, and a cherished Granny to Myla, Theo, Archie and Arlo.

Gill met the love of her life, Paul, whilst working at a firm of Solicitors in Blackburn. After a short time together, Gill and Paul were married at Pendleton Church. Together, they built a beautiful family life, soon welcoming daughters Tessa and then Lara, who were the pride and joy of their lives.

Family was at the heart of everything Gill did. Gill enjoyed spending quality time with her family including holidays in both the UK and abroad, meals at her favourite restaurant, Checcos and took pleasure in hosting family gatherings. Gill created memories that will be treasured forever.

Gill dedicated her life to her family, and was always a great support to her daughters.  She embraced her role as Granny with pride and joy and played a huge part in raising her four grandchildren. Gill always offered a helping hand and endless love to her growing family.

A lover of walking, weekends were often spent with Paul out walking in the local countryside. Gill also enjoyed walking on many holidays with Paul in Guernsey and Cornwall.

Gill’s kindness, love and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her
