Memorial Book

Peacefully at home, with her beloved husband by her side, Gail passed away.

Gail was the devoted wife and soulmate of Ian, who will miss her beyond words. She was the cherished daughter of the late Bill and Florence, a much-loved sister-in-law, a treasured auntie, and a wonderful friend to many.

Adopted from birth, Gail was always proud of her story and held a deep love and gratitude for her Mum and Dad, whom she adored throughout her life.

Gail had a varied and hardworking career, with roles at Crown Paints, Electrolux, Walker Steel, Chubb, and Pentland Distribution. It was at Pentland Distribution where she met the love of her life, Ian, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and devotion.

She took great pride in her home, keeping it immaculate and welcoming. Gail was selfless by nature, always caring for others and asking for nothing in return her greatest wish was simply for those around her to be happy. She had a gentle but unmistakable way of showing when she was displeased her eyes said it all.

Gail loved music, with favourites including Coldplay, Take That, and Rod Stewart. She loved to sit down, relax and watch tv, she enjoyed dramas, soaps and quiz shows, along with some sports not forgetting her favourite football team, Liverpool.

Gail will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and most especially by her devoted husband, Ian.

Family flowers only please, donations are being kindly received in Gail’s memory on behalf of Alzheimer’s Society and RNLI.
