Obituary Notice

With deep sadness but with hearts full of beautiful memories, we announce the peaceful passing of our wonderful Mum Brenda on 11th September at the age of 87.

She left us surrounded by the family she adored so much. To everyone who knew her, Brenda was a beacon of warmth, always ready to welcome friends and family with her signature, lovely smile. That smile could light up any room and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. She was a devoted and loving wife to Roy, sharing a life built on partnership, laughter, and endless support. As a mum to Debbie and Lisa, Nana to Ella Charlie and Tom and GG to Ralphie Isaac and Penelope and good friend to many.

Brenda was the true heart and soul of our family. She took immense pride in watching her family grow, anchoring us all with her unconditional love, wisdom, and gentle guidance.

Brenda was born and lived in Bacup until she met and married Roy, starting their married life in Rishton before moving to Copster Green. Beyond her dedication to her family, Brenda had a true passion for life and adventure. She was an avid traveler who absolutely loved her holidays in later life traveling the world, eager to see new places and experience different cultures. Whether out at sea or exploring a new city, she embraced every journey with enthusiasm.Closer to home, she found great joy in the simpler pleasures of life. She loved good food, a coffee and a cake.

For her, the perfect evening was one spent sharing food and raising a glass with the people she loved most. Her legacy of love, laughter, and that unforgettable smile will live on forever in the hearts of her children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many lovely friends. She lived fully, loved deeply, and left the world a brighter place to be reunited once again with husband Roy.

Brenda was resilient, strong, kind, cheerful and independent . She will be forever loved, remembered and missed by all her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cancer Research in Brenda’s memory, a cause close to our hearts.
