Amelia Rose Ormerod

Suddenly and unexpectedly on 16th August 2024, Amelia aged 32 years of Todmorden formerly of Clayton-le-Moors. The adored, much loved and cherished daughter of Stuart and Joanne, loving and loved grandaughter of Marion and the late Reg and Ivy and the late Ted, and a dearly loved niece, cousin, relative and friend.

Beautiful, bubbly and bright, Amelia was the most intelligent lady who always gave everything one hundred percent. Following studying law Amelia secured herself a position as a trainee solicitor at Wrigley Claydon and with her natural ability in the legal world she was a firm favourite with her colleagues. Amelia adored all animals but cats always came first and they held a special place in her heart and throughout her life there has always been a family cat with a loving home. She loved to keep fit and Amelia was a regular face at the gym, she also qualified as a yoga and pilates instructor and gained her qualification as a PT, passing on her knowledge and skill to many whilst helping them to reach their fitness goals, she gained her blackbelt in kick boxing and Amelia was the most talented Ariel Arts performer. She lived a private life surrounded by those she loved and cared for and her family was the centre of her universe and Amelia was a true daddy’s girl and the apple of his eye known lovingly as ‘Little Boo’.

Fly high Amelia, you will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you.

I used to do classes with Amelia and one day a lady said I’d put that much weight on she didn’t recognise me. I told Amelia in the class what she had said and she came to Lidl with me and told me the entire time how beautiful I was and made sure I was ok.
