Violet Joan Coughlin ‘Vi’ ‘Vicky’
Violet passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 9th Septemeber 2024 aged 91 years and of Clitheroe. The devoted wife of the late Ron, loving mum of Janice and Fraser, cherished and loved grandma of Chris, Tom and Mick and great-grandma of Oliver and a dear relative and friend.
Violet began her working life in the mills before setting out on a career in secretarial work, working in various offices. In her later years Violet made the move to Tenby to run her own Cafe a role and with her bubbly and outgoing personality she was the perfect hostess and loved by all her customers. She was an avid oil painter and loved to settle at her easel to crate her latest masterpiece. Violet was a true people person and she loved nothing more than helping others, she would do anything for anyone and she was the most remarkable lady with the biggest of hearts. She truly doted on her family and was at her happiest when surrounded by those she loved and cared for. Over her life time, Violet was fortunate enough to travel the globe and wherever she went she would go off the beaten track to truly enjoy the local culture. She had a special affinity with Egypt and loved the magic and mystery of the rich history and she spent many happy times in Malta visiting her friends.
Violet lived a wonderful and colourful life filled with love and happiness, she will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
