Susan kelly. “Sue”

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family in hospital on 30th April 2024, Susan aged 75 years of Great Harwood and formerly of Accrington.  The much loved and loving Mum of Mark, Jane and Martin, dear Mother in law of Jane, Geoff and Laura, Cherished “silly Nan” of Carla, Liam, Leon and Demi-Lee, Great Grandma of Noah and Rose, dear Sister of Vera, Margaret, Freda, Alan and the late Brenda and also a respected relative and Friend.

Former publican, Susan was the landlady of the Clifton Arms, Blackburn, Carters Arms, Bolton and former hotelier at the Harlands B. & B, Blackpool. She also worked as a security and a dog warden, Susan was a true grafter who always worked hard to provide a good life for her family.  She was a people magnet who loved all people and she could chat about anything to anyone, and always had a welcoming smile. Fiercely independant, Susan thought nothing of setting off to enjoy a holiday on her own enjoying some well earned rest and relaxation making many friends along the way.  A former member of Bolton angling club and an avid Blackburn Rovers supporter, Susan was a regular face at Ewood accompanying her Daughter to the matches.

Most of all Susan was a devoted family lady who always looked forward to spending time with her nearest and dearest.
