Memorial Book
Suddenly at her home on 12th December 2024, Ruth aged 87 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted wife of the late Bill, loving mum of the late Craig and the late Gina, loved and loving grandma of Louise, Erica and Lucy, cherished great-grandma of Corey, Logan, Miya, Theo, Ella, Harvey, Coby, Molly, Harrison and Chester. Ruth was also a dearly loved relative and good friend to many. Former office supervisor at Alma Press, Ruth, known for her unrivalled organisational skills, she was a natural office whizz and with her keen eye for detail Ruth was always a well respected member of her working team. She took great pride in her home and everything had its place, it was spotlessly clean and she could often be found in the kitchen creating one of her tasty baked treats, chocolate cake and buns were a firm family favourite and her homemade sausage rolls held legendary status within the family. Ruth was always on the go, whether out with family and friends shopping or at home tending to her garden which bloomed in perfect colour perfection throughout the seasons. Family was the most important thing of all to Ruth and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to be surrounded by those she loved. Ruth’s life was a life devoted to others, she was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Family flowers only please. Donations are being gratefully received in Ruth’s memory on behalf of Derian House Children’s Hospice.
