Margaret Heath

On Sunday 17th November 2024 peacefully at home, Margaret aged 93 years of Coventry.  Beloved wife of the late Douglas, much loved mum of Richard and the late Robert, loving Grandma of Celestina and Daniel, and a loving great grandma, dear sister of Les and a dear aunt.

Born in Coventry, Margaret attended schools in the Walsgrave area of Coventry.  Following her education Margaret became an assistant in a newsagents in Coventry and this is where she first met her future husband, Douglas.  Douglas became a manager of another newsagent’s in the Coventry area and Margaret later joined him working as an assistant in the shop.  After many years of managing the newsagent’s shop, Douglas retired at the age of 65 and Margaret carried on working there until her own retirement.

Margaret was a musical person and loved to play the piano and violin, especially the violin, which she learned to play to a degree and certification that would have enabled her to teach had she wished.  Margaret played the violin from a young age, playing in her teens in a quartet and in her later years she learnt to play the guitar.

Margaret was very much a family person and loved the family holidays together in many parts of Britain.

Margaret will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
