Memorial Book

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on 11th December 2024, Linda aged 79 years of Great Harwood. The devoted and much loved wife of Alan, loving and loved mum of Mark, Mandy, Joanne, Louise and Emma, dear mother-in-law of Gareth, Darren, Andy and Paul, Cherished grandma of Michael, Sam, Leanna, Carrie, Matthew, Danny, Ryan, Jack, Ruby and Libby, a doting great-grandma, dear sister of Alison, Margaret, Alan and John and also a loved and respected relative and friend to many. A well-known and cherished face in Great Harwood, Linda had a remarkable ability to connect with people. She loved to chat, always made time for others, and often put their needs before her own. Her family was the heart of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was simply the best—a devoted and doting grandma who made every moment special. Linda’s working life took her to various places, including Butts Mill and Rishy Crips, as well as numerous cleaning jobs. Wherever she worked, Linda earned respect for her dedication and formed lasting friendships along the way. In her younger years, Linda had a passion for roller skating and dancing, and she was an avid reader who loved losing herself in the pages of her favorite Catherine Cookson novels. Holidays held a special place in her heart, especially the cherished family breaks at their static caravan in Morecambe, where countless happy memories were made. Linda also loved her TV, keeping up with the latest soaps and savoring a good crime drama. Above all, Linda was a loyal, loving, and selfless woman whose warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
