John Newsome

Peacefully in hospital on 16th Septemeber 2024, John aged 85 years of Accrington.

A young at heart and larger than life character, John was born in St Helen’s before spending many years living at Brockhall and Calderstones Hospital before moving to his much loved home in Accrington where he was lovingly cared for by Alternative Futures Group. John loved bonfire night and fireworks brought out the inner child in him. He adored the bright lights of the Blackpool Illuminations and each year he eagerly awaited his annual trip and he was the most avid train fanatic.

John was loved by all those he knew and he will be sadly missed but fondly remebered.  Flowers are welcome, please send to the funeral home.
