Joan Patricia Crossley ‘Pat’
Suddenly at her home on 20th December 2024, Pat aged 85 years of Rishton. The devoted wife of the late Bill, loving and loved mum of Annette and Belinda, dear mother-in-law of Nick and David, cherished grandma of Michael, Georgina, Ashleigh and Sam, great-grandma of William, Lottie, Isaac, Charlie, Mabel and Billy and a dear auntie, relative and friend.
Pat was the most loving and loyal family lady, her much loved home was the hub of the family a hive of activity where the family often gathered. Born and raised in Rishton, Pat was proud of her community and a well known and loved face in the area. She was very house proud, always keeping her home immaculate and her garden bloomed in full colour throughout the seasons, she was the most talented cook and all the family would always look forward to one of her delicious family meals and her shepherd’s pie held legendary status. Pat started her working life at English Electrics before moving to Don Shoe Factory and later to St Charles RC Primary School as caretaker where she was loved and cherished by all the staff and pupils and she was also a life long parishioner at St Charles’ RC Church and was always on hand to help out with Church Events.
Pat was loved and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
