Gary Edward Blackshaw

Peacefully at The Royal Preston Hospital on 11th April 2024, Gary aged 67 years of Buckshaw Village and formerly of Blackburn. The devoted and much loved husband of Christine, loving dad of James and Samantha, cherished grandad of Ralphie, Franklin, Max and Zac, dear brother of Christopher and a dearly loved relative and friend to many.

A larger than life character, In his younger years Gary had a passion for motors, enjoyed car rallying and was also an avid motorbike fan who looked forward to trips to the Isle of Man, attending the TT races. Following his school years, Gary trained as a mechanic before moving in to car sales and latterly property development. Gary could talk to anyone, from any background, as he had a great sense of humour and a generous and trusting personality. Gary enjoyed family holidays at the caravan in the lakes, where he would spend most weekends on his speedboat out on the water with his wife, kids and many friends. Gary always supported his family and was on hand to offer advice, and help his loved ones strive toward their goals and dreams. He loved spending time with his four grandsons who brought so much joy and purpose to his life in his later years.
