Angela Evans
Suddenly but peacefully in Tenerife, with her loving husband Richard at her side, Angela aged 75 years of Langho.
Dearly loved wife of Richard, much loved mum of Michele, Jan and Rebecca, dear mother-in-law of Christan and Maxine, loving granma of Saul, Neave, Frankie, Joe and Rafe.
Angela was born in Sheffield moving to Landudno at the age of 14. After leaving school Angela started work at the local Post Office. It was whilst living in Llandudno that Angela met Richard at Payne’s dance hall in Mostyn Street, a friendship that soon blossomed into true love and they were married in May 1966, leading to a wonderful and happy marriage spanning 58 years.
Together they made the move to Lincoln where Richard was in service with the Royal Air Force. Richard was later posted to Aden in South Yemen and whilst he was away Angela moved back to Llandudno to stay with family.
After Richard’s service in the RAF they both moved to Warwickshire where Angela joined the Post Office working as a telephonist for around nine years. Angela and Richard then set up a business in the North West of England eventually settling in Langho.
Angela was very involved in parish council work and was a member of the mothers union and Langho ladies, she was also Kaa as cub leader for many years Angela and Richard were both heavily involved in getting the Billington and Langho community centre built.
Angela loved badminton, cooking, eating out and was a voracious reader of a wide range of books.
Angela and Richard enjoyed their holidays and travelled all over the world, both by air and sea. Mauritius was a particular favourite including South America and South Africa.
Angela will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
