Moyra Lord

Peacefully in her sleep on 24th December 2024, Moyra aged 84 years. The devoted wife of the late John, loving and loved mum of Debbie, Dean and Shaun, dear mother-in-law of Gary, Theresa and Marie, cherished nan of Daniel, Liam, Andrew, Joanne and Mathew, great-nan of April and Robert, dear sister of Joyce and a loved relative and friend.

Moyra began her working life at Textillo’s as a machinist before moving to Newman’s, she then took time away from work to raise her family, she was the most loving mum who had the family home running like clockwork. She later returned to work, working at M & F Components and Clayton Laundry before she took her retirement from her role as a cleaner at St Christopher’s School. Moyra was a true home bird  and loved the comfort and surroundings of her home, she enjoyed TV, a cigarette and spending time with her much adored family, who were the centre of her world, she was the most loving nan and great-nan to all of her grandchildren and always looked forward to visits and hearing what they had been up to and she was proud of each of their achievements.

Moyra was loved by all of her family and will be sadly missed but fondly remebered.

Family flowers only please. Donations are being gratefully received in memory of Moyra on behalf of North West Air Ambulance. To make a donation please click the ‘Make A Donation’ button at the bottom of this page or send to the funeral directors.
