On 14th August 2026 Ron passed away peacefully after a short illness aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of the Late Jean, devoted Dad to Gillian and Neil, a much loved Grandad to David, Andrew and Patrick, father-in-law to Ken and Ruth and a much missed friend to many. Ron was an active member of the St John’s Church Family and the surrounding area and was a well known and respected Church Warden. He edited the Church magazine for over 30 years as well as acting as Chairperson and Treasurer of the Simonstone Parish Council. In his professional career Ron was a well respected Personnel Manager of many years for Philips Components (formally Mullards).
Ron was a lifelong Blackburn Rovers fan, an avid supporter through the good times and the bad. Ron was also an active member and previous Treasurer of the Burnley Film Makers.
