Sorry to hear of Ian’s passing, we hadn’t seen each other in a while, last time at a party with John Barnes! We walked each other’s path of life when we were at college/training centre and kept in touch for a few years after, on the path we walked we had some fun and laughs including pulling one of the lads out from under a bench at the Robin Hood pub near the training centre after a particularly heavy night so that he could get the taxi back to Ruston if I remember correctly. Good times and by the sound of it Ian lived a very full life cut oh so short, rest in peace my old friend and thanks for the Memories.

Ian. Even tho I've known you most of my life we only met up for social gatherings and bumping into you in town when out with the lads. You where a true gentleman and will be missed by all who new you. Rest in peace.🩵

Our friend Ian.

Thank you for sharing your professional wisdom and experience with me. As a young apprentice it really helped.

Thank you for the many social days and nights we shared in the 80’s and 90’s. And for trying that Chicken Madras!

Thank you for attending that Hawkwind concert, even if not your thing and for attending the Hi Fi shows….. and driving.

Thank you for helping with my house move into the village and showing me the ropes.

Thank you from both of us for stepping in when the wedding photographer let us down and giving us those photos to treasure forever. You really had the gift.

Thank you for being there with your treasured Triumph car and getting us to our Daughters Christening on time when my GTE let us down.

Thank you for the recent coffees we shared. You made the time even when it was difficult.

But most of all, thank you for your friendship and kindness over all these years. You will be truly missed.

God bless you Ian.

We remember Ian, a steadfast friend since the 1990s.
Though our times together were mostly at occasional social gatherings, it was always a genuine pleasure to meet and catch up. Ian had a gift for easy friendship. Time had passed between visits and we would pick up right where we left off.
His friendly and easy going presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

I will miss your smile, your twitchy nose, talking about the next holiday, our in jokes but most of all I will miss Ian the gentleman and friend.
