On 4th June 2026, peacefully in hospital and surrounded by love, and Fortified By The Rites Of Holy mother Church, Susan, aged 57 years, of Langho, passed away. The much loved wife of David, the loving mum of Olivia and Phoebe, the cherished nana of baby Gracie, dear sister of Christine and Michael, dear sister-in-law of Michael, Steven and Angela, and a dear relative and friend to many.
Susan spent her working life as a primary school teacher at Sacred Heart, Accrington and later at St Gabriel’s, Blackburn. She was a truly wonderful teacher, inspirational, caring and encouraging, leaving a lasting impression on the many children whose lives she touched. Always and ever young at heart, she loved young people, laughter, sunshine and the magic of Florida, enjoying her treasured trips to Disney there twice a year. Family was at the centre of everything she did, and she was so proud of them all. Five months ago, when baby Gracie arrived, Susan became the proudest and happiest nana in the world with her special little granddaughter to spoil.
Also an avid Barry Manilow fan and member of his official fan club, Susan attended as many concerts as she could. She also loved Teddy Swims. Susan was a most cherished wife and mum, always encouraging and supporting her girls. As a family they all shared a special love of tennis, especially enjoying their exciting trips to Wimbledon.
Susan was beautiful inside and out. Special, perfect and unforgettable. A loving wife, mum, nana, sister, teacher and friend, she will be missed more than words can say.
