Memorial Book

Suddenly at home surrounded by her loved ones, Yvonne passed away at the age of 59. A devoted wife to Jayson, beloved mum to Gareth, cherished mother in law to Joanne, and adored Nanna to Georgia and to many others who lovingly knew her as their “adopted Nanna.” She will also be truly missed by her two loyal fur babies, Fergie and Marg, who never left her side.

Born in Blackburn, Yvonne spent her early years in Cumbria, or as she always fondly called it, “Cumberland.” But it was in Clayton-le-Moors that she found her true roots. In her early twenties, Yvonne met the love of her life, Jayson, and within a year they were married a beautiful bond that was truly meant to be.

Yvonne had a big love for life, especially her frequent trips to Amsterdam, a place that stole her heart time and again. A passionate Ronan Keating fan, she followed him faithfully to concerts whenever she could. Her ultimate dream came true when Jayson won a competition and she met Ronan in person a magical evening complete with a private serenade and a kiss, a moment she treasured forever.

Fiercely honest and refreshingly real, Yvonne was a straight talker who always said it like it was no frills, no fuss. But it was exactly this spirit that made her so loved by everyone who knew her. Her heart was especially big when it came to animals, whom she always preferred to people and they adored her right back.

She will be missed beyond words and remembered with treasured memories.

Family flowers only please, donations are being gratefully received in Yvonnes’s memory on half of Epilepsy Society, a donation box will also be at the funeral.

To honour Yvonne’s vibrant spirit, the family kindly request that those attending the service wear something bright and colourful. Yvonne especially loved the colour red so if you have it, wear it with love and pride.
