William Pinder (Bill)
On 2nd February 2023, peacefully in the Hollies Nursing Home, aged 83. The dearly beloved husband of Glenys, father of Julie, Suzy, Karen, Jamie and Danny, and loving Grandad to Tom, Ellie, Joe, Sam, Lucie and Calum.
Born and raised in Westminster, London, Bill worked for almost the entirety of his life as a pioneering computer programmer. A lifelong member of the Labour Party, Bill also served as a local councillor in both Bracknell, and, in later life, in his adopted Hyndburn. Bill had passions for music, particularly jazz and soul music, and sport, especially his beloved Chelsea FC. He was a wonderful and kind man who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

My thoughts are with Bill’s friends and family x
Goodbye mate you were a true socialist who never wavered from the true path. You were a beacon of sensibility that needs reigniting. I will never forget the help you gave me writing that speech to commemorate Merchant Navy Day for that first time on September 3rd 2015. It is now an annual event. We haven’t forgotten your mates in the Merchany Navy and they will not forget you.
Sincerest condolences to you all. Bill was a lovely man and I used to enjoy our football banter. He will be very missed by all who knew him x
