William Albert Ashton ( Bill )

Passed away suddenly but peacefully in hospital on 22nd December 2019, Bill aged 71 years of Barrowford. The dearly beloved husband of Sarah, much loved and loving dad of Sophie, dear brother of Pat, brother in law of the late Boo, loving uncle of Naila, Nazir and Nadeem and also a great uncle and a wonderful friend to many.

Bill spent a number of years working as a facilitator for Smith & Nephew and then had various jobs. He loved cars and motorbikes and owned a repair garage for a time. Bill could turn his hand to anything and was great at DIY. He loved all sports and had won many trophies for his snooker playing and was an avid Burnley football fan. He and Sarah loved their motorhome and were members of the Red Rose Caravan Club. Bill loved being in company and was great on the karaoke and liked to say he sounded better than Louis Armstrong. With his warm nature and wonderful sense of humour, Bill was popular and loved by all who knew him.

Bill will be remembered for being a truly lovely gentleman.
