The service will be held in St James Church, Clitheroe followed by interment in Clitheroe Cemetery.
Veronica Williams – formerly Heaton
On 30th March, 2023 suddenly in hospital, Veronica, aged 75 years of Clayton-le-Moors formerly of Clitheroe. The loving and devoted mum of Edward and Christine, dear mother in law of Jason, much loved nan of Jake, Emma, Jordon and Leah, great grandma of Harley, Anna-Leigh and Alice, Special friend to June. Veronica adored her little dog Tina and is at rest with her granddaughter Leanne.
Veronica spent most of her working life as a machinist at Lancaster Hosiery and Trutex and later became a carer at Highbrake House in Clitheroe. She always enjoyed working and had a warm and generous heart. A favourite hobby was gardening and Veronica had spent a time as a gardener at Clitheroe Castle. She also enjoyed watching wildlife and couldn’t resist watching a good horror film with her best friend June. Sunshine holidays were always a favourite for Veronica with her friend Brenda to places such as Malta, Tenerife and Turkey as well as a one time fabulous cruise. Veronica loved her home and her record player was often in action. She was a very happy lady in the heart of her much loved family and times spent together were always precious. A lover of all animals, Veronica was devoted to her little Chihuahua, Tina. Veronica will be remembered for her unique and loving character.
