Vanessa Jane McFarlane

On 6th October 2023, peacefully in hospital, following a short illness Vanessa, aged 45 years, much loved and loving mum of Abbie, Scott and Poppy, devoted nanny of Mason, Rosie and Kaden, much loved daughter of Diane and Andrew, loving sister of Rebecca, Rory, Alex, Emily and Laura and  a loving sister in law, auntie and a good friend to many.

She was then blessed with beautiful grandchildren Mason, Rosie and Kaden and was so proud to become a Nanny, they brought her so much happiness and joy.

Vanessa had uncles and aunties she adored – auntie Jean, Jane, uncle John, Neil, Stuart and Peter. Cousins – Shane, Zoe and Mark.

Vanessa worked in retail for many years at M&S, Brand Interiors and Oswaldtwistle Mills. Her most recent role was working at Travel Assist making her way up from driving and taking people for hospital appointment trips etc. Picking children up from school and dropping them off safely at home. She had her regular customers, who thought the absolute world of her. She would go out of her way to help in any way she could. She then started working in the office at Travel Assist and became HR which she absolutely loved, and was a great asset to the company. Vanessa used to take Scott and Poppy to football practice and games and was extremely proud of both of them.

When she was relaxing, she enjoyed a bud or two. Spending time with her mum Diane, daughter Abbie, sister Rebecca having a cheese board, lots of fun and laughs. Going out with her dad Andrew and Rory, spending quality time and making memories.

No words can express what an absolutely amazing beautiful daughter, mum, nanny and auntie Vanessa was. We all loved her to the moon and back. Shine bright like a diamond and fly high until we meet again. Love you lots and lots, sleep tight sweetheart.
