Valerie Robinson

Peacefully on 19th January 2021 at Altham Care Home Valerie aged 82 years.

A much loved colleague and friend to many.

Val served most of her life working for the Lancashire Constabulary where she was a well respected colleague, in her spare time she loved making her own jewellery and creating lovely beading work. A party after hours with her work friends was often looked forward to, she loved to dance. In her later years Val moved into the care of Altham Care Home she was loved there by all of the staff her smile brightened up their day.

Val will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Valerie and I worked together on Juvenile Liaison at Accrington I was her Sergeant and remember many happy times we spent together at work and also in leisure hours. I was saddened to hear of her passing. Many fond memories of a very gracious lady.

Valerie and I worked in Accrington together for quite a few years right up until her retirement. She was always gracious immaculate and intelligent. I learned a lot from her. So sad that she suffered dementia in her latter years and one of her close colleague friends Sheila Mcvann also died within days of each other. Rest in peace your gorgeous ladies. You will be dearly remembered and missed.
