Trevor Rothwell Starkie
On 12th July 2021, peacefully in a private care home, Trevor, aged 80 years of Wilpshire. The dearly loved husband of Lillian, much loved dad of Michelle, Gail, Ivan and Garry, also a much loved father in law, grandad, great grandad, uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many.
Trevor spent much of his working life as a self-employed electrician and retired after spending fifteen years with Norweb. He loved working and was always on the go and able to turn his hand to anything. This always ensured that Trevor was in demand with family and friends for jobs they needed doing around the house. Holidays, whilst the children were young, were spent mainly at their caravan in Heysham and later in Cornwall. Trevor first went to Ocean Edge as a child of 7 years old when his parents, Harry and Ethel purchased the second ever caravan on the site. At the caravan site Trevor helped behind the bar and also did the electrical work. He was a Blackburn Rovers fan and enjoyed laughing along to the Carry On films. Trevor enjoyed fishing and cockling, skills that he fine-tuned and passed on to the younger generations during summertime at the caravan.
He had a great sense of humour and was lightning fast with his one liners. With a twinkle in his eye, he was a lovely man to know. Trevor also collected stamps and eagerly anticipated the issue of first day covers. A keen collector of Lledo cars, he had an extensive collection, all cross referenced in a ledger and displayed in airtight cases so dust dare not enter! A true animal lover, Trevor doted on his beloved dog Bess.

Since coming to know Trevor and Lillian it has been a good and funny relationship. We enjoyed the times we had with both. Trevor will never be forgotten in our lifetime and of course neither will Lillian. Trevor has gone to be whole again but will always be around his beloved wife Lillian.
