Terry's Funeral Service will be held at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA

Terry Robinson

On 1st May peacefully at East Lancashire Hospice, Terry aged 76 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The beloved wife of Barbara, loving dad of the late Karl, dear brother-in-law of Andrea, Tony, Geoff and Deborah, loved uncle of Kay, Nicola and the late Peter and the late Stuart.

Terry spent his working life as an engineer at Stuart Engineering working as a centre lathe turner, he was a well respected member of his working team and made many good friends over the years. Terry was always fit and active and loved to keep himself in shape, he was an avid runner for over 40 years and former member of Clayton Harriers and Accrington Road Runners and he could often be seen out and about locally enjoying one of his many runs. He loved the outdoors and the countryside and always looked forward to long distance walk with his wife and soulmate Barbara. He loved to dance and was a regular face at the local dance halls where he would dance the night away with his beloved wife, they enjoyed ballroom and sequence dance. Following his retirement Terry found a new passion in crown green bowling and joined the team at Mercer Park making many new friends.

Terry and I served our engineering apprenticeship together at Lang Bridge Ltd,, also played crown green bowls with and against him, very competitive sportsman what an enjoyable person to be will be missed by so many. Please accept my deepest condolences Barbara.

So saddened by the passing of Terry, my first cousin Barbara’s husband soul mate best friend since their teens. Fond memories also of their late Son Karl in our childhood, me and my sister would sit for Karl while Terry ans Barbara went doing what they loved and did well Dancing. Will have these memories for the rest of my life. Rest easy Terry, I’m sure he will be reunited with our dear family gone before us, until we meet again good night sleep tight ???????? sending my love to Barbara and all our family, we’ve lost a lovely, gentle ,loyal man who always had a smile and liked a laugh,great sense of humour, I’ll always remember him this way.
