Susan Margaret Brady (Sue)

Susan passed away Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 24th September 2022, Susan aged 70 years of Accrington. The devoted and adored mum of Mark, Melissa, Daniel and Jessica, dear mother-in-law of Chris, Luke, Jade and Anthea, cherished nanny, granny and nan to Poppy, Jack, Hannah, Harry and Oliver, great grandma of Madelyn and Millicent, dear sister of John, Peter, Stephen and Paul. Susan was also a dearly loved auntie, relative and friend to many.

Susan was born in Prescot and made the move to Huncoat when she was 9 years old with her family. Susan was hardworking and throughout her life has had many different job roles but her favourite was working in care. Susan spent many years working at Wellfield and Henley House care homes in Accrington, working her way up to become care home manager, with her naturally caring and giving personality, Susan was a natural at her work and a firm favourite with the residents and their families. She was the most doting mum and super proud grandma and always looked forward to spending time with those closest to her, sharing many wonderful holidays over the years. Susan loved all music from rhythm & blues, old school dance to modern artists such as Adele, over the years Susan has spent many happy times with her brothers watching her favourite artists, Walter Trout and Santana and wherever Sue went she would always have a glass of vodka and coke in her hand.

Susan will be sadly missed but fondly remebered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sue, You really were one amazing woman. Always had time to listen and offer advice. I have such lovely and some hilarious memories too of work life and nights out. You had a way of making me laugh at the most inopportune moments. It was great when you reached out on Facebook years ago, like no time had passed. You’ll be a huge miss to many. Lots of Love Xx

Sue you have left behind you people you can be proud of who are making life better for the rest of your family and your community. Melissa is testament to this. She has stood the test of facing the electorate twice and prevailed. You should be rightly proud of her.

You really were a great friend and, although we hadn’t seen eachother for many years, I loved us keeping in touch on Facebook and laughing at how much fun we had.
