Sean Corry

Suddenly in hospital on 13th November 2025, Sean aged 75 years of Great Harwood. The devoted and much loved husband of Liz, loving and loved dad of Karen, Paul and Gillian, dear father-in-law of Simon and Nicole, cherished grandad of Isobel, Amelia, Evie and Elijah, dear brother of Maura and a respected relative and friend to many.

Sean was the managing director and founder of the family business, Metashear Limited, a sheet metal holding company to which he devoted his life. A highly respected gentleman in his field, he poured his heart into the success of the company. He was pleased when his son Paul joined the business, passing on the knowledge he had built over a lifetime. A keen sportsman and lifelong Blackburn Rovers supporter, Sean was a devoted season ticket holder and a familiar face in the Riverside Stand, where he cheered on his team with his family beside him. He also cherished his holidays, enjoying precious time away each year with his beloved wife Liz. His favourite destination was Tenerife, where he found well earned rest and relaxation. Sean was a simple man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life, a family meal at Checco’s, The White Bull, or the Whalley Wine Bar, and he took immense pride in being a loving dad and grandad and always looked forward to spending time with his family.

Loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, Sean will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
