Saundra Juanita Barnes née Harty

Peacefully at home, aged 85, on 20th October, 2023.

Saundra was a dearly loved mother to Vikki, Jayne, Sam, and Kate, and adored nan of Lily, Tom, Harry, Hannah, George, Will, and Vinnie. Saundra was the heart and soul of her family, bringing laughter and love into their lives.

A widow to the late Geoff, her beloved husband, Saundra’s love for her family knew no bounds. She was not only a devoted mother but a doting nana and great-nana to Ada and Ruby.

Saundra’s love for life was infectious. She was a social butterfly who found immense joy in the company of others. Her love for socialising, going out for lunch, and being around people earned her the reputation of being the life and soul of the party. Her wicked sense of humour brought smiles to the faces of everyone lucky enough to know her.

She was more than a friend; she was a dear companion to many. Her warm heart and kind spirit made her a source of comfort and laughter for those fortunate enough to call her a friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring friendships.

Saundra will be greatly missed, but her memory will forever be celebrated by those whose lives she touched.

May Saundra’s light continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and may she rest in eternal peace.

Saundra requested that mourners should wear something bright and cheerful to reflect her personality.
