Peacefully on Friday 7th November 2025, Ronny aged 78 years of Accrington fell asleep for the last time,

The beloved husband of the late Eileen, much loved dad of Wayne, Paul, Louise and the late John, treasured grandad of Ben, Alexandra, Oliver, James and Tom, and a wonderful brother to Lynne, and to the late Betty, Jean, Peggy and Frank.

Born and raised in Accrington, Ronny’s roots ran deep in the town he always called home. He attended St John’s Primary and later St Christopher’s, where he made many early friendships that stood the test of time. After leaving school, Ronny began work at Caligen Foams, where he dedicated over thirty years as a chemical operative. Hardworking, loyal, and dependable, he was well respected by his colleagues and formed friendships that became like family.

Ronny met the love of his life, Eileen, and together they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was one of true partnership. He was proud to be the family’s provider, and even prouder to see his children and grandchildren grow and thrive each one a reflection of his kindness, humour, and strength.

After a long day’s work, Ronny enjoyed the simple pleasures in life  a well earned pint among friends, a good laugh, and the comfort of familiar faces. He was a regular at the Peel Park Hotel, The Abbey, and The Arden Inn, where his warm smile and quick wit made him a friend to many.

Ronny had a sharp mind and a love of quizzes his competitive streak shining when he appeared on a television game show with Ted Robbins, where his team proudly took the win. A keen darts player too, he loved to share the story of the time he beat the legendary Jockey Wilson in a friendly 1001 warm up match, a memory that never failed to make him smile.

In quieter moments, Ronny found peace in reading and immersing himself in historical TV dramas, where he could lose himself in the stories of the past.

Ronny will be remembered for his gentle nature, his sense of humour, and the genuine kindness he showed to everyone around him. He was a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and brought joy to all who knew him. His passing leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the lives he touched.

Now reunited with his beloved Eileen, together again where they belong.
