Ronald Philip Mitton

On 14th June in hospital, Ronnie aged 67 years of Rishton. The devoted and much loved husband of Elizabeth, loving dad of Graham and the late Philip, cherished grandad of Thomas and Eva, dear brother-in-law of Susan and Charles, father-in-law of Julie and a respected relative and friend to many.

Ronnie spent his working life in the motor trade working his way up to service manager for Renault where he worked for over thirty years. Ronnie thrived on his work and always gave it his all. In his spare time Ronnie enjoyed fishing, snooker and Northern Soul and together with his wife Elizabeth they have travelled all over the UK and abroad attending events. A life long Burnley Football Club supporter and season ticket holder, Ronnie always looked forward to attending match days to cheer on his team, often accompanied by family and friends. For Ronnie holidays were often doubled up with fishing trips and he loved nothing more than a trip to Ireland and Holland for a spot of fishing. He had the most amazing memory and was renowned for his ability to remember his customers cars and number plates. Ronnie had a keen eye for details and was a master of DIY, always ensuring his home was kept in tip top condition.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
