Robert Michael Birtwistle ‘Bob’

Peacefully in his sleep at the Woodlands on 9th March 2020, Bob aged 74 years formerly of Accrington. The devoted and much loved dad of Ben and Becky, cherished grandad of Lily and dear brother of David, Carole and Sheila.

Bob’s working life was spent at Lucas and British Aerospace as an aircraft fitter, he enjoyed his work and was always a popular member of his working team. Music played a big part in Bob’s life and he loved nothing more than listening to his favourite folk and blues tunes, each year he enjoyed attending the Rhythm and Blues festival at Colne. Bob was a devoted and proud dad and loved to spend time with his children.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
