On Wednesday 9th November 2016 suddenly in hospital Mark aged 55 years of Accrington. The much loved partner of Jackie, loving Dad of Amy and Tom, dearly loved son of Rosemary, a loved brother of Kathryn, Stephen and Helen, also a dear brother in law and uncle.

Mark was a renowned and excellent chef who worked for many years with his Mum at The Tudor Rose in Whalley where he was very well known and respected. Mark was creative and liked to experiment with different recipes. At home, he would be like a whirlwind in the kitchen and Jackie would follow behind cleaning up. Mark baked lovely breads and had great patience when trying new recipes. He particularly liked Nigella. Mark loved swimming and had his 21st birthday celebration in the pool at Hyndburn Sports Centre. He enjpyed cycling and adored fishing too. His brother in law Colin said that Mark was the nicest man he had ever met. Even though Mark could be grumpy, his heart was huge. He was kind and generous and always considerate of the needs of others. He was at his happiest in the heart of his family.
