Richard John Boote

Peacefully in hospital on 6th February 2020 Richard aged 76 years of Padiham. The devoted and much loved husband of Jean, loving dad of David and Caroline, dear father-in-law of Claire and Jason, cherished grandad of Adam, Isabel, Ryan, Max and Charlie and a dear brother of Lillian.

A proud service man who served with the Royal Navy for twenty two years. Richard’s service saw him travel worldwide both on Ships and Nuclear Submarines. Following his years in service Richard worked for many years at Blair Electrical, Oswaldtwislte as an engineer and following this at Cott’s Soft drinks, Nelson.

An avid Burnley Football Club supporter, Richard loved to keep up to date with his team. He loved to travel with his dear wife Jean, together they have visited many different countries both in Europe and worldwide. There favourite destination was Majorca, where they looked forward to spending time together for some rest and relaxation. Richard also loved a flutter and enjoyed trips to the bookies and always looked forward to a trip to Blackpool Casino.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
