Richard Dickinson – Rick

On 22nd June 2023, suddenly but peacefully in hospital, Rick, aged 85 years of Rishton. The dearly loved and loving husband of the late Brenda, much loved dad of the late Steven, much loved step-dad of Mandy, Mark, Tracy and Neil, also a cherished grandad, great grandad and loving brother of Bob and the late Betty, also a dear brother in law and uncle.

Rick spent his working life as a Sausage Man at Slingers Butchers for most of his working life. He had great work friendships and enjoyed the camaraderie of the shop floor. Rick had been a former secretary of Rishton Legion Club and was dedicated to the community. He also loved a good pint or two of mixed and in later years looked forward to his Saturday afternoons at The Broadway with brother in law Joe. Rick always loved dogs, and would watch old Western films again and again. He was a loving, devoted and inspirational family man and always gave his very best. He adored his expanding family and playing Peek-a-Boo with the young ones. Rick will be remembered for his lovely smile, huge heart and seeing the absolute best in everyone. He leaves many happy memories within his loving family.
