Memorial Book
Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on 3rd November 2025, Peter, aged 80 years, of Rishton.
The cherished and much-loved husband of Kathleen, devoted dad of Scott and Jon, dear father-in-law of Alison and Hilary, adored grandad of Max, Toby and Aoife, dear brother of Jim, brother-in-law of Sue, and a respected uncle, relative, and friend to many.
After finishing school, Peter served his apprenticeship as a painter and decorator before embarking on a career with NORWEB that spanned over 30 years, where he worked as a facilities maintenance engineer. Peter loved his work and was highly respected by his colleagues, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Away from work, Peter was the most devoted family man, a loyal and supportive husband, a proud and loving dad and grandad who took immense joy in every family gathering. He was always there to support and celebrate the achievements of those he loved. A keen sportsman, Peter was a passionate supporter of both football and cricket. He dedicated much of his spare time to grassroots football and youth work, encouraging young people to reach their potential through local clubs and adventure filled weekends away. Peter also loved his holidays, from family trips around the UK in the touring caravan with caravan club friends and rallies, to relaxing, sun-soaked holidays abroad.
Peter was a true gentleman, kind, content, and devoted to his family and home. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and affection.
Family flowers only, please. Donations are being gratefully received in Peter’s memory on behalf of North West Air Ambulance.
