Peter Crook

In hospital with his family by his side on 25th November 2024, Peter aged 80 years of Burnley and formerly of Blackburn, Knuzden and Rishton. Much loved partner of Ruth, loving husband of Eileen (deceased 2005), father, step-father, grandfather, relative and friend to many.

Peter spent his working life working at ROF, Blackburn, as a toolmaker and shop steward, always on hand to help people fight for their rights. He was a keen fisherman, angling was his passion and he loved to spend time in waders in the rivers casting a line or two. A lifelong Blackburn Rovers supporter, Peter developed his passion for his team as a young boy watching Ewood from the upstairs window at his parent’s home. He enjoyed gardening and loved roses and spent many happy hours outdoors. He was a man’s man who looked forward to escaping to the club to enjoy a pint, and a catch up with his mates. Peter loved to travel and over his lifetime he was lucky enough to travel the globe enjoying many wonderful trips including to Australia and later to the USA to visit family members. Peter also dearly loved his 2 dogs Benny and Rosie who were his loyal companions and brought him great joy and comfort in his later years.
