Penelope Yvonne Cartwright (Penny)
Penny passed away peacefully on the 19th December 2022, aged 63 years.
Loving mum, mother in law, grandma and friend to many.
Penny faced many challenges throughout her life, including severe mental health problems, but she always did her best to be a fantastic mother and grandmother to the best of her abilities. She was a kind and compassionate person who got along with almost anyone and had a gift for storytelling, captivating her audience with her interesting and intricate tales, even if some of them were made up.
Penny was known as a grumpy granny in recent years and could be a bit of a pain in the bum at times, but she had a big heart and a great sense of humor. She was always making people laugh with her wit and playful nature. In her younger years, Penny worked as a mobile care assistant while also being a housewife, a mother of one, and a widow to her husband and soulmate, Albert. She threw herself into her work the best she could and loved nothing more than giving care to her patients. She always went the extra mile for them, and even in her later years, when she was living in a care home herself, she continued to help take care of the other patients.
Penny was a bit of a challenge-seeker and loved to make people work for her respect. She was not afraid to speak her mind and was always willing to pose a challenge in her own unique way. Despite feeling trapped by her body and mind in her later years, Penny finally found freedom and peace in her passing, and can now be reunited with her beloved Albert.
Penny will be deeply missed by her loving son John, daughter-in-law Jackie and her two grandchildren Corey and Alyssa and all of her family and friends.
We are grateful for the time we had with her and the memories we will always carry with us. Rest in peace,Mum/granny/penny
