Pauline Southward

Peacefully in hospital surrounded by her family on 10th July 2021, Pauline aged 86 years of Baxenden. The devoted wife of the late Reggie, much loved and loving mum of Bryan, Derek, Robbie, Ian, David and Graham, dear mother-in-law of Lindsey, Tracey, Shalama, Karen and Ann, cherished and adored grandma of Dan, Lucy, Nicola, Rachel, Emma, Lee, Aneesa, Jim, Aimee, Rosie, Ash, Connor, Dec, Hollie and Lewis, great-grandma of Poppy, Harry, Penny, Aaron, Zak, Frankie, Darcy and Henry, dear sister of Frank and his wife Helen and a respected relative and friend to many.

Pauline spent her working life caring for others in her role as an Auxiliary Nurse, with her naturally caring and giving character Pauline was a natural in her role, she retired from The Mount, Accrington where she was a well respected member of the working team. Pauline lived for her family and enjoyed regularly taking her grandchildren on caravan holidays with Reg. In her younger years Pauline was a semi professional singer and loved to be on the stage entertaining the crowds in her home town, Liverpool. It was after meeting her husband Reggie that they made the move to Accrington to follow Reggie’s career with Lanacshire Police. Most of all Pauline was a devoted family lady who gave all her time to caring for her family.
