Lawrence Donald Ian Neil

On 6th April 2020 peacefully at his home, Lawrence aged 69 years of Padiham. The dearly loved husband of Jackie, much loved dad of Vicky, Diana, Joanne, Lindsay and Lauren, step-dad of Lee, Claire, Anthony and Kelly, dear brother of Gloria, Bobby, June, Glenys, Billy and the late Alan, also a dear brother, brother in law and uncle, and Lawrence was also much loved by his 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Lawrence spent his life as a self employed builder and also had the Guy Fold Pub in Padiham and the Red Rock Pub. Lawrence was a very popular, well loved and well known gentleman the Padiham area, and he loved socialising and being in company. He was dedicated to his job and could turn his hand to anything. He loved his holidays spent in Benidorm and adored the sunshine. Each day Lawrence would read the Daily Mail cover to cover and liked to keep up to date with all that was happening, and on a Saturday would have a little flutter the horses. He could sometimes appear gruff, but inside he was made of something really soft. His favourite programs on TV were Sci-fi and history programs and Lawrence had a particular interest in the pyramids of Egypt.
