Norman O’Brien

Norman passed away peacefully in the loving care of Hope House Care Come on the 20th October, 2021 aged 74 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Christine, loving son of the late Elsie and Bob, dear brother to the late Stephen, dearly loved dad of Gary, cherished grandad to Bradley and Kai and a loyal friend to many. Norman was a lifelong Burnley supporter and it was in later years that he became a professional referee for over 20 years, until his eyesight began to fail. Norman was a well known figure in the local Clayton social scene. He was also a lifelong member of the Park View Working Men’s Club and a regular on the snooker circuit. Norman was a popular man who made friends wherever he went. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
